Full description

The first part of the trail is very steep.  The guide will adapt his/her  pace to yours.  Depending your own pace the steep part will take between 45 min and 1h 15 min.

After the climb the path continues almost flat for another hour.

At the falls, your guide will show you two incredible view points.   Down in the river valley those little green plants you see are really the tops of tall trees and palms.  The  water does not reach the bottom of the valley, except after a heavy rain.

On the way back, we will stop at the Riachinho waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pool. When bad weather we visit the center of the village of Capão.

Chapada Diamantina is full of really bad dirt roads.

Some tours are more expensive because of the dirt roads.
Most roads are very difficult for normal cars.  Some roads are only possible by jeep.
After heavy rains some roads are self-destructive.

A dirt road can easily break a car.
